How to raise donations!
Thank you so much for your registration for the Tour de Herz Solo Challenge. Now it is time to raise funds. So that you do not have to go from house to house with the bell bag, you received your own donation page when you registered. It is important that your supporters donate to your fundraising campaign. In order to support you in your fundraising campaign, we have put together 10 tips for successful fundraising below.
You are already a hero – with your support you will save children’s lives! Be aware of this and be proud of your participation and openly approach your friends, relatives, acquaintances and colleagues with the request for support.
1. Personalize your donation page
Tell your personal story. Your supporters will share your enthusiasm and joy in the Tour de Herz Solo Challenge.
2. Ask your closest friends first
It is very likely that the closest supporters will also give higher donations and subsequent supporters will orientate themselves on this.
3. Donate yourself – as high as possible
Show your own commitment and donate yourself – as much as possible, be a role model for subsequent donors!
4. Do good and talk about it
Share, share, share … Social media is a guarantee of success. Use all media that are available to you to draw attention to your donation goal, e.g.
- Like Herz bewegt on Facebook
- Share your donation page with your community
Regular e-mails are also a good means of communication to keep your supporters up to date and to encourage them to donate.
5. Update your donation page
It is important to communicate your progress to your supporters as well. This also includes regularly updating your donation page. Your donation page communicates your motivation and your own commitment. Therefore tell your supporters about your commitment, your training progress and everything that drives you to be part of the Tour de Herz Solo Challenge.
6. Set yourself an ambitious goal
To achieve a goal, you first have to have one. So set yourself an ambitious and realistic goal. Increase it when you have achieved it.
7. Ask in your company
Work colleagues or decision-makers in the company are often very impressed by the commitment and performance of their employees. Ask for support here too. From experience we can report that one or the other company has doubled the donation goal of participants.
8. Copy your donation link into every communication
Be proud of your participation and show it too. You can also add your donation link to your email signature. For example with: “I cycle to save lives.”
9. Collect offline
We were not quite so wrong with the bell bag after all, because not everything has to be digital these days. Set up a donation box and pay the proceeds towards your fundraising campaign.
10. Have your own idea
Of course, we can also give you tips on which activities or events other participants have organized, e.g.
- Bets:
Give your friends and acquaintances incentives to donate and consider betting stakes. - Events:
Organize dinners, game nights, flea markets, …
Flyer
Do you need flyers to advertise your fundraising campaign? Then send us a short email with the desired number to info@herzbewegt.org.
